Keith Thurman is one of the most noteworthy welterweights of all time. He witnessed an impeccable rise in the division until he battled the great Manny Pacquiao. Both the men entered a 12-round scuffle in 2019. Here, Thurman entered the fight with an undefeated record. However, he ended up with his first pro-boxing ‘Loss’.

Thurman dropped to the canvas in the very first round of this fight. As a result, the momentum shifted to Pacquiao’s side and the Senator only capitalized on that. Recently, Premier Boxing Champions dropped a video of ‘One Time’.

Here, the latter expressed his honest thought about the ‘Pac Man’ fight and more. He said, “I’m working to better myself to hit that next level. That fifth gear, the one I didn’t pop into on Pacquiao, we’re gonna be in that fifth gear February 5th.” 

A loss to Manny Pacquiao left a mark on Thurman’s boxing run. Ever since that fight, the Florida native didn’t step inside the ring again.

Thurman was undeniably an underdog in his fight against Pacquiao, but even after the knockdown, he kept the fight leveled. Despite that, Pacquiao was too good for him, and he continuously kept putting the pressure back on ‘One Time’.

Regardless of the results, Thurman has now moved ahead from that loss. And he’s focused on his upcoming fight with Mario Barrios. This fight has every possibility of advancing the former champ close towards a title shot. That said, he’s giving sheer importance to this fight.

‘One Time’ seems to be in an ideal mindset before he appears under the big lights. He will take up the ring space after almost a three-year hiatus and will only look to roll out a fiery statement with his win.
