If luck’s on his side, then Jake Paul might again put his name on the boxing roster. At least his latest endeavor exposes an attempt to redeem himself of the loss he suffered for the first time at a boxer’s hand. Riding high on a six-win streak, Paul had, till then, fought mostly mixed martial artists besides a former footballer and a YouTuber. He finally met a match in Tommy Fury on February 26. Paul braces for a bout against another grappling specialist. Meanwhile, he finally seems to have found light at the end of the tunnel as an all-British fight between Fury and KSI appears to falter at the negotiation table.

Jake Paul revs up for a rematch

Jake Paul failed to convince the judges despite knocking down Fury in the eighth round. They awarded the Brit his ninth victory. ‘The Problem Child’ doesn’t seem to have forgotten the loss. He reminded the ‘TNT’ whose fight with YouTuber KSI remains on tenterhooks. Though initially agreed to take place at 180 lbs., the discussion appears to be falling off the cliff as the younger Fury wants to renegotiate the fight at 185 lbs.

Striking when the iron is hot, Jake Paul calls out Tommy Fury. Informing the latter to be ready, the Ohioan said, “Tommy, I’m going to teach you a little something. KSI is a b**ch; he’s all f*****g talk.” Then he shared how, initially, KSI fought Logan Paul at 193 lbs. But now he wants everyone against him to fight to reduce weight to his advantage. He said, “…he only wants to fight disabled video gamers or guys who are f*****g old as f**k. You can elbow them in the face.”

Calling Fury his ‘son,’ Paul mentioned the former not being thankful despite earning so much from their fight. And once again recalled how he went down the canvas. He concluded, “So after I knock out Nate Diaz on August 5, I’m coming for you, Tommy. You better be ready, I’m coming.

The first rollback

The world was at his feet as Jake Paul outclassed and outboxed former UFC champion and legend Anderson Silva in October last year. However, there remained a hurdle. Until he defeats a purebred boxer, followers will question his credibility as a real boxer. Opportunity breezed in as long-time talks for a fight against Tommy Fury bore to fruition. But the end did not turn up the way he wanted.
