Deontay Wilder has recently lashed at his former foe Tyson Fury, accusing the WBC champion of ducking him for a trilogy fight. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ has posted a video on Instagram and has put light on the entire heavyweight scenario. However, not everyone is buying Deontay Wilder’s claims.
Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn believes that Wilder is making excuses and is formulating different intentions with his varied statements. While Wilder had accused Anthony Joshua of ducking him in the past, he has recently revealed that it was he who avoided Joshua to accept a fight against Tyson Fury. That said, Eddie Hearn has advised ‘The Bronze Bomber’ to slide away from the heavyweight title mix, allowing the “big boys” of the division to settle the tale.

Although Deontay Wilder still has a lot of fans behind him, it has hurt his unparalleled dominance in the sport in recent times. Following his loss to Fury, Wilder has appeared a little on public platforms. Thus, his sudden claims are hard to digest for the entire boxing community. Meanwhile, Eddie Hearn belittled Wilder’s claims.
Eddie Hearn rules out Deontay Wilder from the heavyweight title ride
In a recent interview with the IFL TV, Hearn hasn’t hesitated to bill Wilder as a liar. Moreover, he revealed some more facts to validate himself opposite ‘The Bronze Bomber.’
Talking about it, Hearn said, “The truth always comes out in the wash, doesn’t it? ‘Tyson, you know that I was offered more money to fight Anthony Joshua than you’ — hold on, I thought AJ ducked you? You have just, in one Tweet, completely explained to the public exactly happened.”

He added, “It’s ridiculous. Park him to the side, let the big boys, the real men, go at it, yeah? Usyk-Chisora, Dillian Whyte against Povetkin, AJ. Look at Dillian Whyte.
“He got knocked out, and he was winning the fight, and he never moaned once. He got up, he dusted himself down, he goes straight back to work. Proper geezers. AJ against Andy Ruiz in front of 20,000 people at Madison Square Garden. It was so difficult for him to dust — but that’s what you do, that’s what champions do!”

Comparing Wilder against Joshua and Whyte, Hearn advised him to stop making excuses. He said, “You don’t moan, you don’t say, ‘Oh, this glove, and’ — unless you’ve got any real substance, then be quiet, go back to the drawing board, work harder, follow your dreams, let the hunger burn to become champion again.”
