Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia are among the biggest rivals in the current world of boxing. The duo has the potential to land one of the biggest fights in the lightweight division due to the interesting context they share. In the past, both exchanged shots on social media and crossed all limits of throwing insults at each other. Though stories about their fight were made before, they never got so close to making it happen.

But the atmosphere at present seems most favorable. This is the reason when Michael Benson of ‘TalkSports’ reported it on Twitter, fans went wild.

The senior sports journalist wrote, “Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia have reportedly now “agreed to the framework of a deal” for a 136lbs catchweight fight targeted for January in Las Vegas. It’s claimed that the US broadcaster situation is still a significant obstacle needing to be resolved.”

Undefeated Garcia has never won the title in any weight class, but the aura he created has made him a celebrity. So interestingly, when he calls the three-weight division champ Davis, the latter did not pay heed to it.

But after Garcia’s several attempts, it seems that ‘Tank’ has decided to give him a shot and settle the business in the ring.

How did fans react to Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia’s fight storyline?

A fan wrote, “Ryan wanted 138… MAYWEATHER PROTECTION PROGRAM working wonders.” Davis is Floyd Mayweather’s protege because of this the latter is often accused of protecting him.

Boxing fans are really frustrated with the business behind closing fight deals. Hype for the fights is created and then at the last moment talks collapse on one or another subject.

The news about this fight are floating for years but never reached fruition. That’s why a fan wrote, “I’ve heard that b4.”

Another fan wrote, “Bro said they playing games and is trying to make someone that should be at 140 fight at 136 wtf and he already went up to 140 for the Barios fight.”

Fans can’t trust news around this fight anymore. They are done with the drama. They will only trust when both fighters officially announce this fight.
