“Always believe, man. Never give up,” a determined Francis Ngannou said as the shot focused on his struggles afterward. That’s something he and his camp believed going into the fight with Tyson Fury last year. The boxing champion and the former UFC champion collided, and we almost had the biggest upset in sports history. What happened in the boxing ring that night stunned the fans and viewers. If you want to witness what transpired behind the action, then Netflix’s latest project is for you.

Boxing vs. MMA dominated the talks last year, as ‘The Predator’ stepped into the square circle against ‘The Gypsy King’. More than 20 promoters worked behind the scenes to put on a show that captured fans’ imaginations and the fight that crowned the “baddest” on the planet. Rushing adrenaline, soaring tensions, and superstars in the stands summed up the night, and now Mike Tyson has given fans a sneak peek of “Battle of the Baddest,” the exciting documentary covering it all.

Mike Tyson, who helped mold Francis Ngannou into a boxer, shared the trailer for the upcoming Netflix documentary. “Francis lands that bomb on Tyson’s chin. It’ll be the biggest upset in the history of sports,” Tyson says in the trailer. The likes of Frank Warren tell the story from their lens, which was a promoting marvel. Isreal Adesanya, who strongly believes in the “miracle” of Ngannou’s hands, also greets the fans, giving an account of the latter’s struggles as a laborer in Cameroon.

“Battle of the Baddest documentary is now available on Netflix. See the backstory of @francis_ngannou and @Tyson_Fury getting ready for the biggest heavyweight clash of 2023,” Tyson wrote on his X handle.

Ever since knocking down Fury, Ngannou has gained a rapid surge in the boxing world. The former UFC heavyweight champion now finds himself on the cusp of a title shot in boxing. He will face Anthony Joshua on March 8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The winner will be fast-tracked to meet the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury.

Meanwhile, Fury is currently recovering from a horrific eye cut he sustained in the sparring session. That pushed his awaited unification fight with Usyk to May 18. If the British champion and Ngannou churn out favorable results, the fans might see them run it back soon.
