Canelo Alvarez has been a free agent since his split with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions and seems to be doing fine. He has had four appearances so far, three with Matchroom and one with PBC. In the meantime, Alvarez has earned three stoppages and one UD wins, to become the first-ever undisputed super-middleweight champion.
The Mexican star is now considering a shift to a different weight category. He has received multiple fight offers, all of them as a free agent. However, Eddie Hearn insists on making Canelo Alvarez his full-time client, similar to the former heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua.

In an exclusive interaction, Hearn said, “AJ has signed a career-long deal with Matchroom and be nice to get Canelo Alvarez to do the same.”
Canelo Alvarez has had a pretty successful stint with Eddie Hearn, where he fought against Callum Smith, Avni Yildirim, and Billy Joe Saunders. Well, he can join forces with Matchroom Promotions once again, as a two-fight deal already seems to be on board.

Per reports, Hearn has offered $85 million to Canelo Alvarez for facing the WBA 175 lbs champion, Dmitry Bivol, in May and then a trilogy against Gennady Golovkin at 168 lbs in September. However, the P4P phenomenon shall have to surpass Bivol and Golovkin shall beat Ryota Murata in a potential middleweight unification. Only then can we expect the trilogy between Alvarez and Triple G to happen.

Alvarez had also received an offer to face WBC middleweight champion, Jermall Charlo, for a whopping $45 million, which came from PBC’s end. That said Alvarez’s team has clarified about not finalizing a fight, which leaves a lifeline to PBC for bringing Alvarez under the stable again.

Canelo Alvarez can move in any direction
Mexican star Canelo Alvarez has been one of the main faces in the sport of boxing. He is a prime PPV attraction that has urged Oscar De La Hoya to try negotiating his way back with Alvarez. Despite parting ways, De La Hoya now wants to bring back his starfighter in Golden Boy Promotions. Nevertheless, Alvarez hasn’t shown any interest in that.

It is prominent, Canelo Alvarez won’t have a deficit in finding suitable opponents. He is currently on a legendary run and seems invincible. However, the higher weight categories can offer him some tough time, especially when cruiserweights are also willing to face him. WBC 200 lbs champion, Ilunga Makabu, has claimed to knockout Alvarez if they ever cross paths. Therefore, it expands the super middleweight champion’s combat radar.
