Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury faced each other in one of the greatest heavyweight fights of 2021 as they competed for the third time at the T-Mobile Arena on the 9th of October.
“The Gypsy King” defeated ‘The Bronze Bomber’ via an 11th round KO to extend his undefeated streak and retain his title. Ever since that fight, people have been speculating as to who Fury will face next.

Now, after months of uncertainty, ‘The Gypsy King’ is all set to take a shot against WBC interim heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte.
Often touted as one of the greatest pugilists of all time, Fury has created hype for his long-awaited heavyweight clash.
Recently, former pound-for-pound king Roy Jones Jr talked about the Fury vs Whyte fight. Speaking to Behind The Gloves, Jones Jr said that it is going to be a tough match for Whyte.
He said, “Dillian Whyte is a good fighter too but Tyson Fury is one of the smarter guys fighting right now, and if Tyson comes ready motivated and in shape, he’s a very hard one to beat.”
According to ‘Superman’, if Fury is in good shape and is motivated, he is tough to tackle.
‘The Gypsy King’ is grinding hard in the gym and is constantly uploading videos of his preparation and seems to be in good shape.
Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte’s upcoming fight
WBC made it mandatory for ‘The Gypsy King’ to face Dillian Whyte. In the initial negotiation, Whyte’s company did not accept the original purse split of 80/20 in favor of the champion.
Later, it was reported that Fury was keen to fight the undisputed heavyweight battle against the unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

A few weeks back, a Fury vs Usyk fight was rumored to take place. However, former champion Anthony Joshua activated the rematch clause. Which again led to a purse bid between promoters of Whyte and Fury. Finally, it is confirmed that the fight will happen but the date and venue are still undecided.

Undoubtedly, ‘The Gypsy King’ will step in the ring in the best shape. And according to Roy Jones Jr, he will be the toughest opponent Whyte has faced till now.
