After falling short against the ‘Tank’ inside the ring, Issac Cruz can land up in a potential fight against Ryan Garcia in 2022. The high-voltage lightweight thriller is already in the news, with both sides offering a war of words to each other. Garcia and his promoter Oscar De La Hoya seem adamant about staging a lucrative fight for the former WBC interim champion.
While Gervonta Davis cracked up Cruz in his latest outing, ‘KingRy’ wants to try his skills against ‘Pitbull’ too. Having fought Luke Campbell in January 2020, Garcia has been out of action for over a year. He is yet to receive an official fight.

Oscar De La Hoya is clearly pressing forward to bring Isaac Cruz against his star prodigy. Meanwhile, Team Golden Boy may have become a bit too adamant about bagging the fight and have explained themselves totally on social media. De La Hoya wrote on Twitter and offered a bigger amount to Isaac Cruz than what he earned from facing Gervonta Davis. Nevertheless, he claimed to have received a declination from Cruz’s side.
Oscar, while I understand your desperation in showing @RyanGarcia you are doing SOMETHING on his behalf in your role as his promoter, do you think putting out a falsehood like this will impress him? https://t.co/I7y01mmD25

I could care less if he’s concerned scared etc. You don’t need to be scared to get knocked out,,, just let’s get this done. We both say yes so it should be easy. https://t.co/dZZMp3PrmJ

While De La Hoya brought the fight talks to the limelight, Sean Gibbons expressed his stance and didn’t seem very interested in putting Cruz against Garcia. While De La Hoya further claimed to be eager to host the best matchups, Gibbons still didn’t buy his claims.
Was Mike Tyson Adopted?
After a few backs and forth, Ryan Garcia jumped into the conversation and offered a much brutal verbal war. He demeaned Cruz’s nickname but couldn’t get beneath the skin of Gibbons. Lastly, Ryan Garcia expressed his interest in facing Cruz with no hesitation, But Issac Cruz has not agreed on the offer and we can not expect the fight to happen so early.
Will Ryan Garcia get a big comeback fight?

Despite winning the Interim lightweight strap against Campbell, Ryan Garcia lost it due to his inactivity in 2021. He is currently not in a position to demand the title fights. After being avoided by Cruz, he may have few options available. Nevertheless, Garcia is a popular name and can fetch big numbers.
While the lightweight division is also blooming with A-listers, ‘KingRy’ shall turn head towards other potential names like Joseph Diaz. He needs to regain himself in the title race.
