Terence Crawford and Shawn Porter entered in one of the finest welterweight bouts of all time tonight. Both the boxers waged war against each other and they surely kept everyone on the edge of their seats. The underdog Porter fared extremely well until Crawford knocked him down twice in round 10.

Post this knockdown, Porter wanted to continue the fight. But his father, Kenny Porter, asked the referee to stop the bout.

That said, ‘Showtime’ spilled the beans on the same in his post-fight interview. He said, “I didn’t expect that. We’ve never had a conversation about that. We just kinda always had an unspoken understanding that if he sees what he needs to see, he’s going to do what he did. I didn’t expect it.”

Later, his father also opened up on the same and added, “I don’t want him in that situation. He fought a great fighter, the guy is super sharp, and he’s at a deficit. It’s like fighting this guy blindfolded”

Porter gave a rugged outing to the WBO welterweight champ. Right from the first bell, he was the aggressor and with his right hooks, ‘Showtime’ looked to march Crawford down. However, the champ had his own game plan, and he counter-attacked well with his straight lefts and hooks.

Together, both men exchanged an extensive amount of punches. But. ‘Bud’ had a definite edge over his compatriot. However, Porter didn’t take a back step in this fight, and he only looked to elevate his relentless pressure on Crawford.
