The WBO had ordered welterweight champion Terence Crawford to defend his strap against Shawn Porter a few weeks back. However, the fight is yet to be put on the papers. As Crawford fights under Top Rank Promotions and Shawn Porter fights under PBC, it complicates the contractual negotiations to bring the boxers against each other.

Meanwhile, it’s been over six months for both Crawford and Porter since their last appearances. Hence, it urges an immediate return, especially with a massive engagement going around in the 147 lbs roster. But the current scenario hasn’t confirmed a return from either of the welterweight elites.

That said, PBC-Top Rank needs to work together to secure a joint PPV, or else the highest bidder will secure the rights, per Boxing Scene.
