A deleted tweet made from Andy Ruiz‘s account has sent shocking waves throughout the boxing world. On May 19, a tweet was made by his account which involved a series of videos and photographs. In one of the videos, Ruiz was spotted holding two bags of what appeared to be cannabis. The tweet also hinted at Ruiz’s alleged use of cocaine and banned substances by VADA.

The fans were stunned to witness such a tweet; speculations were rife about whether he posted the tweet by accident or was it a deliberate action on his part. However, their apprehension was put to rest when Ruiz himself, on his Instagram Live, stated, “My Twitter got hacked.”  He believes it was .done by his ex-girlfriend Julia Lemus.

He further said, “She is mad I am happy… But I did not post anything”

Although, the former heavyweight champion cleared the air; the news has spread like wildfire in the boxing world. Some fans are now speculating whether Ruiz is a clean fighter while some are not bothered at all.

Fans react to Andy Ruiz’s account being hacked

Although the Tweet got deleted, the screenshot was taken by his followers. Michael Benson, the boxing journalist, took to Twitter and reported what was there in the deleted Tweet.

The tweet stated, “I wanted to share with you what my life behind the camp is really like! I love to drink codeine and smoke weed all day long. I also love pruchasing prostit*tes. After this is going on meetings to clean my blood to make sure they come out clean when VADA comes to my training camps.” 

The fans wasted no time in making their reactions public. Here are a few fan reactions regarding the tweet:

A fan named Liam Freeman thinks his impressive victory in the first bout against Anthony Joshua has done more bad than good. He stated, Beating AJ was the worst thing to happen to Ruiz. The money and fame went to his head.”

One fan dragged Anthony Joshua’s name into the controversy. He stated, “Bro just exposed how AJ gets past his drug tests”

On the contrary, one fan is of the opinion that nothing in the deleted tweet is surprising. He stated, “Have we actually seen anything that proves he’s done anything wrong apart from smoke a bit of weed”

On similar lines, one fan stated, “he can only get in trouble for the weed right?? what am I looking at.”

Lastly, one fan expressed his confusion and stated, “Literally what about this is incriminating? Shows him with a bag of weed, going somewhere in Arizona (out of context obviously),& him doing blood work? Please explain.”
