However, sometimes wearing an outlandish costume might not be reasonable. As ‘The Bronze Bomber’ had claimed that the costume that he wore for his fight against Tyson Fury was the reason his legs gave out during the fight.

2. Tyson Fury:

Tyson ‘The Gypsy King’ Fury always brings his eccentric energy to his walkouts. From Mexican-themed costumes to a king’s costume, which was complete with a throne on which Fury got carried, all the way to the ring. Fury has had many amazing costumes throughout his career.

In the second fight between Fury and Wilder, Fury brought out this king’s costume, which fits his moniker, ‘The Gypsy King’. After which he went 0n to become the WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion of the world.

3. Bernard Hopkins:

The oldest man in the sport to win a major world title would wear an executioner’s mask to the ring, along with his traditional boxing robes.

However, Hopkins was not the quick executioner that fans would like. He often dragged his fights on to the 12th round, eventually getting narrow decision victories.

4. Wilbert Johnson

Wilbert ‘The Vampire’ Johnson, true to his nickname, would walk out to the ring dressed like a vampire. Johnson had lost his front teeth in a high school football game and used that to enhance his ‘Vampire’ aura.

Although very little footage of ‘The Vampire’ exists, fans spoke of Johnson as one of the most entertaining boxers. Along with his Dracula teeth and cape, they would often carry Johnson to the stage in a casket.

5. Dillian Whyte

The WBC interim heavyweight titleholder wore a costume to mock Deontay Wilder’s costume that he wore before his fight against Tyson Fury.
