Despite claiming a big game before the fight, KSI and Tommy Fury failed to satisfy the boxing world with their performance. While KSI branded the decision a robbery and demanded a rematch, Tommy has declined any possibility of the same ever happening. However, a rematch is the furthest thing critiques are concerned with. As a matter of fact, a former British boxer and legend of his time bashed the KSI vs. Tommy Fury fight. 

Tommy Fury was the crowd favorite by a wide margin before the fight last Saturday night. But when it was time for him to prove his brawn in the ring against KSI, he barely edged the win, leaving many to argue the fight was a draw. What’s more, there were barely any significant shots landed, characterized by an abundance of clinches. So, Carl Froch, who claimed he would not waste his time watching the fight, described his dissatisfaction with the KSI vs. Tommy Fury matchup.

Carl Froch calls the KSI vs. Tommy Fury fight cringey

Reacting to the fight on his YouTube channel, Froch on Fighting, Carl didn’t mince words as he shared his unfiltered thoughts. He began by asserting that it was the worst fight he had ever watched. “The fight was absolutely f**ing diabolical. It was crap, probably the worst fight I’ve ever seen,” said Froch. Expressing his confusion with the fighter’s strategy in the ring, Froch branded the fight cringy.

“It’s cringey to watch, Like, ‘What are these two guys doing?’ It’s appalling,” Froch claimed in the video. He further expressed his frustration with the fighters arguing after the fight. “Everyone agrees how s* it was. And then they’ve got the audacity at the end to have an argument,” said Froch. The former English boxer summed up the entire fight by claiming, “You’ve just had six rounds to hit each other, and you stood and held each other.” Froch concluded his response by claiming the fight should have been a draw.

Froch on the future of Misfits Boxing

Carl was never happy with the whole influencer boxing scene, but one question remains – What are his thoughts on Misfits Boxing? In the same video, Froch expressed what he thinks would happen to the crossover boxing promoters. Froch hopes “It’s going nowhere..it hits a brick wall…last we ever have to see of this misfit boxing, said Froch.”

Moreover, Froch describes the entire promotion as “Absolute crap because that’s what it is.” Pondering further on the Saturday night event, Froch asserted, “There were a couple of fights earlier on apparently that was a little bit more competitive.” However, Froch explained if people are paying for a fight, “they want to see a boxing fight, or they want to see some kind of a – some kind of a show.”
