Floyd Mayweather Jr. has, reportedly, acquired a net worth of $1.2 billion in his entire boxing career. But even to this day, he gets accused of feigned PPV numbers. Former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen made an appearance on the famous comedian Andrew Schulz‘s podcast, Flagrant, not a long time ago. Schulz and his team pulled up an article in the presence of Sonnen. It mentioned that according to New York Post, Floyd Mayweather received a paycheck of $240 million for his fight against Manny Pacquiao.
Sonnen instantly dismissed this information, calling it ‘fake’, and as a result, a lot of boxing fans came after Sonnen’s bold claims. That’s not it, one of the co-hosts, Akaash Singh, asked Sonnen if Forbes wasn’t reputable regarding such information. Sonnen said, “Forbes is not reputable on this, yeah.” Later, he also made a video about this on his own Channel, addressing all the people who were trying to prove him wrong about his claims.
Sonnen addressed boxing fans, by saying that he brings up the news that nobody will ever talk about, not even Google. Sonnen then raised a question to everybody in the comments section, “When you say something stupid, I’m going to ask you a very simple question. If Floyd was paid 250 million dollars, which Forbes says he was! Who wrote the check?”

But the fans are still not feeling redeemed, as many still believe that Sonnen’s statements lack evidence, and many even called it embarrassing to some extent. Here’s what the fans are saying about Sonnen’s comments.
What are fans saying about Chael Sonnen’s remarks on Floyd Mayweather’s $240 mn fight purse?
One fan stated that it’s getting a bit “silly” because every time Sonnen talks about Floyd Mayweather, he always finds a way to bring up his money and purse details. They wrote, “This is getting silly now. Every post chael makes about Floyd is always him talking about Floyd’s money and purse from fights. I don’t know if they have personal beef going on but this level of pocket watching is ridiculous.”

Meanwhile, one user wrote, “Source- trust me bro,” indicating the lack of evidence. Another user asked a genuine question about the real purse deal of Mayweather. They wrote, “So now I’m curious, what did Floyd make on that 250 mil fight?”
