The ‘Rocky‘ series means so much to millions of fans across the globe. One of the reasons is the attention to the minor details surrounding the life of an upcoming, ambitious boxer from the suburbs. Sylvester Stallone was brutally scrupulous and meticulous when creating ‘Rocky Balboa‘s’ world in Philadelphia. No wonder fans relish every single inch of the movie’s reel. Some even came forward and recreate their versions.

The training montages and shots from the first ‘Rocky‘ till the last installment of the franchise, ‘Rocky Balboa,‘ have one thing in common. They took place at Michael ‘Mickey’ Goldmill or more commonly ‘Mighty’ Mick’s gym, where ‘Rocky Balboa’ used to go routinely. Not many know that the Main Street Gym in Los Angeles was where the film’s crew shot scenes depicting the gym’s insides. A building at 2145 N. Front St. in Kensington, Philadelphia, made up for the exteriors.

Now, it so happened that an Instagram user named @joshback5, who describes himself as a miniature maker, made a replica of the Kensington building. The joy on Stallone’s face was apparent as he appeared with the model in his hands.
