Speaking about ‘Money’, Fury said, “I think he is a great, great fighter. Best ever is a hard thing to say. But unbelievable talent, unbelievable everything. Great allrounder, great businessman, got it all.” His words not only testify to Mayweather’s remarkable skills as a boxer but also applaud his business acumen, painting the picture of a man who has truly mastered his craft both inside and outside the ring.
Fury’s verdict: Pacquiao through the lens of business
On the other hand, his views on Pacquiao appeared slightly different. He stated, “Pacquiao is finished. He’s in it for the few quid, few pounds or few more dollars. Great fighter, legend himself, but he can never look in the mirror and say he was the best of his era. Because he already lost to Floyd Mayweather who is the best of his era. Mayweather of his time is unbeatable, no one’s gonna beat him”. Fury recognizes Pacquiao’s legendary status but hints at a career in its twilight, even as Pacquiao continues to earn substantial revenue.
