Tyson Fury was a highlight in the recent press conference that took place for his fight against Dillian Whyte. Hardcore boxing fans expected a round of cosmic trash talks between both the Brits. But, to everyone’s surprise, Dillian Whyte didn’t turn up to this press event.

Fury even jibed at his promoter, Eddie Hearn, stating the latter might have advised his fighter not to attend.
Not just that, but Fury, in the entire press conference, kept taking shots at the Matchroom boss and Whyte.

In a statement later, he added, “People don’t remember who the promoter was. People don’t remember who managed the fighters of the night. People remember the fight if it was a good one and where it was.”

Fury and Whyte‘s collision seemed a bit off track initially as ‘The Gypsy King’ also looked to explore an undisputed fight alongside the unified champ, Oleksandr Usyk. But after much rigmarole and delays, Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, won the purse bids for Whyte vs Fury and this contest got set for April 23.

In this contest, Fury will defend his WBC title and look at the wider picture, i.e. of going ahead for an undisputed fight.

Simultaneously, Whyte will remain on his toes to pour cold water on his plans, thus pulling off an upset. If he does that, ‘The Body Snatcher’ will have a massive chance of putting himself on the line for an undisputed title fight.
