Tyson Fury has finally spoken out about his in-ring plans after knocking out Deontay Wilder last month. With a second win over ‘The Bronze Bomber’, ‘The Gypsy King’ has now inched a step closer to unifying all of the belts in the heavyweight division.
Even though there have been a lot of talks of a title defense clash against Dillian Whyte, it now seems Tyson Fury is keen on shooting straight for heavyweight unification against the current king of the division, Oleksandr Usyk.

In a recent interview, Tyson Fury took shots at the Ukrainian champion; he even said something he said to Deontay Wilder –
“I’ll take the little cruiserweight guy, show you how to give a little small man a good hiding. I’ll run him over. He’ll look like he’s been run over by an 18-wheeler, just like Deontay Wilder,” said Tyson Fury.
Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk might not happen until late 2022
Oleksandr Usyk is currently preparing to go head-to-head and run it back with Anthony Joshua in a rematch early spring next year. This points at one single thing – Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk might not happen anytime soon.
If ‘The Gypsy King’ decides to stick by his plan to fight the former undisputed cruiserweight champion, it is possible that we might not get to see the mega clash at least until the second half of the next year.

Given that Fury wants to fight again in late February or early March in 2022, he might have to fight a challenger like Dillian Whyte in between. Whyte believes he is next in line to fight Fury; however, he believes Fury would instead chase the Usyk fight over him because it is a “much easier fight for him”.
“It’s already been confirmed that Tyson Fury has to fight me next. They announced it on their website that I’m the mandatory challenger and I’m Tyson Fury’s next fight. I don’t know where this confusion has come from. He [Fury] will try to fight Usyk, because Usyk is a much easier fight for him,” said Dillian Whyte.
Fury has expressed his plans to jump the queue and shoot for heavyweight unification against Oleksandr Usyk; however, he recently even revealed that he’d be down to fight someone like Dillian Whyte as well.

“Whatever’s going to happen will happen and I don’t care because they’re all only workouts to me, I’ll destroy every man that comes in front of me. I’m due an easy fight anyway, he [Dillian Whyte] would have been ideal really. Heavy bag on legs is what I’m after, to be honest. He’d have been the ideal candidate,” said Tyson Fury.
