Tyson Fury’s Father Slams His Son’s Team for Failing to Secure the Anthony Joshua Fight

The heavyweight unification between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury fell short of confirmation, as Deontay Wilder stepped up to bag his trilogy fight. Now Fury vs Wilder 3 is scheduled for July 24 in Las Vegas, and the winner may meet Anthony Joshua ahead for a unification.
But Tyson Fury’s father, John Fury, doesn’t appear pleased with the idea. The 57-year-old connected with BT Sport to shed light on the failed unification fight between his son and Joshua. Reporter Michael Benson revealed a part of his statement, where Fury bashed his son’s team.

The trainer said, “20,000 yes-men around him. What’s happening in America with him – appalling work… It’s diabolical. You’re geared up to fight one man [Joshua]. It’s all sorted in 24 hours [Wilder]. It’s a mistake. He can blame his team. No-one else.”

However, Tyson Fury doesn’t seem to have lost his calm. He has vowed to beat Deontay Wilder, defend his WBC belt, and then focus on Joshua. In the mean time, Joshua might defend his titles against the WBO mandatory Oleksandr Usyk. Thus, there’s a lot on the line now before we can expect the heavyweight title unification clash.

Both the heavyweight champions will have to beat their upcoming opponents to meet each other in the ring. If Wilder or Usyk lands an upset, it will change the structure of the heavyweight unification battle. So nothing is official as of now.
