The mega heavyweight battle between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua seems to be imminent as the champions have reportedly signed a two-fight deal. Meanwhile, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn, who officially broke the news, has now hinted at staging the fight in the UK.
Joshua (Unified) and Fury (WBC, Lineal) are the two prime heavyweight champions, both hailing from England. So, their in-ring collision would possibly be the biggest fight ever in British boxing, and Hearn appears to have chalked up the special plans for the fight.
The Matchroom Director is eager to host the event at one of the biggest stadiums (Wembley) in the world. He connected with Talk Sport to reveal some interesting insights on the recent developments of the fight.

“There have been a couple of conversations over the last sort of 48 hours. I spoke to Bob Arum on Monday at a length and you know we were talking about Wembley and he asked me about the restrictions and of course I told him about the Euros going into the Wembley. And the talks of a full capacity in there in the June, July,” said Eddie Hearn.
That said, nothing is final as of now. The matchup is still on the brink of collapsing, considering any new contractual turmoil. The prevailing dangers of Covid-19 are also a threat, and Hearn has looked into several aspects before planning the future of the 2-fight deal.
Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua-Eddie Hearn is open to the Middle East
While it’s already March 2021, the heavyweight battle might need some more time to happen. However, Hearn envisions the fight to happen late and feels confident that fans would want the same.
Hearn said, “I think most people to be honest with you and this includes the middle east, they would prefer to do that fight in the back end of the year.”

He added, “So do we even do the first one in London and the second one in the Middle East or wherever you know, those interesting offers come from. There’s a lot of discussions to be had. We don’t rule out Wembley. But one thing we do know is the only way we could stage that fight in Wembley is with full capacity.”
While these outer ring elements continue to dictate the tide of the fight, Fury and Joshua are seemingly undergoing hardcore fight camps. Both of them have their chances to win the fight and hence, we can expect an intriguing clash when the Brit heavyweights collide.
