Canelo Alvarez insists on regaining his title as boxing’s best fighter. He won the undisputed super middleweight title in 2021. Since then, he lost to Dmitry Bivol but won unanimous decisions against Gennadiy Golovkin and John Ryder. Now, he is gearing up for his next fight against Jermell Charlo, the undisputed super welterweight champion. Charlo will move up two weight classes for this fight to challenge Alvarez on September 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

However, amidst the hustle and bustle of his forthcoming challenge, the Mexican boxer has some delightful news for his fans. This relates to his recent announcement about his five-year-old son, Adiel. Recently, ‘Cinnamon’ revealed that his son wants to become a boxer like him. This news excites boxing fans, who can’t wait to see Adiel’s future in the sport. But, looks like Alvarez has his own reservations about his son’s dream.

As he said, “Adiel, my son, is five years old. He says he wants to be a boxer. He feels like a fighter…asked me when he’d be able to fight in Las Vegas. We’ll see if he still likes fighting after getting hit for the first time.”

Now, as days for his Charlo bout inch closer, Alvarez has made a bold prediction about his stature in boxing after the match.

‘Cinnamon’ is gearing up hard to prove his prowess

Alvarez moved his training camp to high-altitude Lake Tahoe, California. He says he’s fully recharged and ready to shine. On Showtime’s “All Access,” he told critics he knows he hasn’t been at his best. But he wants his upcoming fight to prove he’s the “king of boxing.” As he said, “This is one of the best camps I’ve ever had in every sense…I’ve been training at 100 percent.”

Furthermore, Alvarez calls Charlo a hard-hitting, skilled boxer who’s good with distance, making him dangerous. Still, Alvarez feels confident. He says this is one of his best training camps ever. He believes the top-notch training will keep him focused and boost his confidence in the fight. Alvarez even said “Boxing-wise, I wasn’t 100 percent…I agree with them, that I haven’t looked the last few fights like I used to. And I don’t want to just give a rebuttal. I’d prefer to show them. And in this fight, you are going to see the difference.”
