After an 8-month long silence, Deontay Wilder has finally spoken about his ongoing feud with Tyson Fury. The former WBC heavyweight champion has been away from social media ever since the first loss of his professional boxing career against Tyson Fury back in February this year.
Until now, Wilder had not offered his thoughts on the recent debacle about whether he will get his trilogy bout against Tyson Fury. The former champion took to Twitter and rained down on the British heavyweight. Moreover, Wilder accused Fury of tampering with his gloves and claimed that he cheated during both bouts.
🤴🏿Fury Be A Man 🖕🏿@Tyson_Fury it is time for you to be a man and honor your agreement.
What is this bullshit of you fighting Carlos Takam instead of me, you got to be kidding… pic.twitter.com/qeo47CfHi4— Deontay Wilder (@BronzeBomber) October 31, 2020

Soon after losing to Tyson Fury dramatically, Wilder made huge changes to his camp. The ‘Bronze Bomber’ sacked his trainer Mark Breland, who threw in the towel at the closing moments of the seventh round in a move to save Wilder from further damage. However, it did not go well with Wilder, who called Breland “disloyal.”
When that fight was a draw, I told you that I would give you a rematch. You know I was offered more money to fight Joshua than I was getting to fight you. Again being a man of my word, I fought you
like I said I would…— Deontay Wilder (@BronzeBomber) October 31, 2020
In a series of tweets, Wilder called out the WBC champion for running away from the much-anticipated trilogy bout. Earlier, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn had confirmed that the Bronze Bomber won’t be fighting for a title shot until 2022.

Tyson Fury is the WBC, The Ring, and lineal heavyweight champion of the world. Soon after the loss, Wilder brought the rematch clause into play and demanded a trilogy bout against Fury. Everything pointed at a potential showdown in December; however, things went awry.
In the meantime, Tyson Fury signed a two-fight deal with WBO, IBF, and IBO champion Anthony Joshua. Both the boxers are set to meet inside the ring in 2021 for the undisputed heavyweight gold.

Deontay Wilder also added that after he accepted to fight Tyson Fury in a rematch following their first encounter, which ended in a draw. There was a rematch clause which the British fighter should be “man” enough to follow. Be that as it may, it looks like the trilogy bout will have to wait for now.
