Ryan Garcia’s recent victory over Javier Fortuna has extended his streak of staying undefeated. Garcia, however, does not have time to relax after a victory; he has already chosen his next adversary. It is evident to the world that a fight between Garcia and Gervonta Davis is in the talks. Let’s take a look at what Davis’ promoter, Floyd Mayweather, has to say about it.
While talking to FightHype.com, Mayweather stated, “When he hit that boy, he ain’t gonna wake up until next year. Don’t worry ladies and gentlemen, I’m just sh*t popping, I’m just sh*t talking. You know it’s crazy that everybody is calling Tank name, I’m so proud of Tank. I told him this was gonna happen.”

He further added, “We are sitting on one of them big yachts, out in Miami, sitting back talking and chilling, taking their jet skis out. And I said don’t worry before you know it, I see everybody calling me out, soon everybody gonna be calling you up. I don’t think he expected for it to be so fast. But all jokes aside, we can make the fight happen, you know, truthfully speaking, we can make the fight happen. But the fight will happen at 135.”
KingRy and his promoter Oscar De La Hoya have already opened up about their interest in a potential fight with Tank Davis. Apparently, even Davis’ promoter has shown optimism on the subject.

Even Garcia’s promoter Oscar De La Hoya stated, “The bottom line is we want to make the fight happen. Tank Davis, have your people call my people, or my people will call your people. It should be on showtime and DAZN because they are the broadcasting partners for each individual. It’s only fair. And we can stage it in Las Vegas, easy as that. Let’s go.”
