As the story goes, a user’s innocuous comment about the Facebook head sharpening his skills in Jiu-Jitsu got Elon Musk responding, “I’m up for a cage match if he is, lol.”

Mark Zuckerberg accepted the challenge and sought a location on Instagram, one of the social media platforms that his Meta handles. Colosseum in Rome often finds a mention as one of the venues for the fight. But Elon Musk’s tweet on June 22 listed Vegas Octagon as his preference. So there’s a new entrant amidst these developments. Former Olympic gold medalist, six-division champion, and now one of the most well-known boxing promoters Oscar De La Hoya, seemingly has expressed a willingness to join the build-up.

According to an article on ‘star-telegram.com,’ ‘The Golden Boy’ said, “I love that. I’m following it. If they are or want to box inside a ring, give me a call, [and] I will promote it.”

He also shared his appreciation for Zuckerberg’s grappling skills. However, cautioning at the same time about the risks in ruling out the fifty-two-year-old Tesla boss. He said, “I like Zuckerberg because his Jiu-Jitsu is crazy. He looks like he has better coordination. But you can’t count out the richer man.”
