Wildest Boxing Knockouts of 2021

This year was a roller coaster ride for boxing. From delayed fights to canceled fights. From fights being postponed because of the pandemic, to fights with no fans in attendance. However, one thing remained constant, knockouts.

Despite all the problems, this year delivered some of the greatest fights along with some of the greatest knockouts ever. So we have compiled a list of the Top 10 knockouts of the year.

1. Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder III

In October this year, ‘The Gypsy King’ put on one of his finest performances against Deontay Wilder in their highly awaited trilogy fight. Fury knocked out the knock-out artist to hold on to his belt. Fury knocked Wilder out in the 11th round of the fight.

2. Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez took on Caleb Plant for the title of ‘undisputed’ super-middleweight champion and secured victory with a 11th round TKO to script history.

3. Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 

‘The Problem Child’ delivered a picture-perfect knockout in the sixth round during his boxing rematch against Tyron Woodley.

4. Oscar Valdez vs Miguel Berchelt 

An explosive right hand in the 10th round crowned Valdez as a two-time boxing champion of the world.

5. Gabriel Rosado vs Bektemir Melikuziev

6. Callum Smith vs Lenin Castillo 

This knockout from Callum Smith had his opponent literally shaking in his boots.

7. Conor Benn vs Chris Algieri

A textbook one-two combination from Chris Algieri had Conor Benn buckling to the floor

8. Kiko Martinez vs Kid Galahad

The first punch to land at the start of the sixth round knocked Kid Galahad straight out.

9. Alycia Baumgardner vs Terri Harper

Alycia Baumgardner stunned the world with this fiery display to dethrone the WBC and IBO champion in the fourth round of their fight. An overhand right had Harper stunned and knocked out on her feet.

10. Jake Paul vs Ben Askren

This year was excellent for ‘The Problem Child’. In just his third professional fight, he took on the former UFC champion Ben Askren and knocked him out cold in the very first round of the fight.

Although Ben Askren is not much of a striker, he could not put up a single punch against Jake Paul, who put him to sleep with an overhand right.
