The press conference for the upcoming boxing match between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz proved to be an entertaining spectacle with many wild moments. However, amidst the expected excitement, it was a question posed by a Betr employee that garnered significant attention and sparked controversy.
During the press conference, Derek, an employee from Betr, directed a disrespectful question toward Diaz. He claimed to be a boxer himself and brazenly asked the Stockton native- “I am just wondering if you think I could fight your brother, Nick Diaz.” in the boxing ring. The employee then proceeded to say that he is going to beat Nate Diaz’s older brother’s “f*cking a*s.”
The question’s tone and choice of words left many taken aback, as it displayed a lack of respect and professionalism. Although Derek issued an apology for his behavior at the press conference, he recently revealed that he did it because he feared for his life.
