Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather exhibits his flamboyance everywhere he goes. Having amassed a fortune with his illustrated career, he never shies away from treating himself to some luxurious purchases.

A sucker for the glam, at the 2000 Source Hip-Hop Music Awards, Floyd Mayweather caught the attention of hip-hop artist Da Brat, thanks to his “55 karats” gold chain. On being asked if he ever got tired of knocking people out, Mayweather answered, “It’s an everyday thing”.

Soon after, Da Brat laid her eyes on the shining piece of jewelry around Floyd’s neck. In his modest nature, but brimming with pride, he said, “Hard work, baby. Hard work, the same thing you do. 55 karats.”

Impressed by Floyd’s gold chain and his ability to perform tirelessly inside the ring, the “That’s What I’m Looking For” hit-maker then asked Mayweather who he was looking to fight next.

Mayweather replied by saying, “I’m looking forward to fighting Diego Corrales, you know. I’m saying Princeton, I’ve seen. I’ve seen everyone around here bragging and boasting, but Pretty Boy Floyd gonna always do his thing.”

Da Brat didn’t leave it there and further added by saying, “I know, that’s right, Pretty Boy, you sure looking pretty.”

Complimenting the star back, Mayweather said, “You sure looking nice yourself.”

While everyone else present preferred to watch in silence and awe, both Brat and Mayweather continued their conversation. Da Brat asked the ‘Pretty Boy’ if he could knock them out just for her.

Mayweather replied by saying, “I’ll knock them out like you want me to knock them out.”
