‘You’re Fighting Your Own Fear and Insecurities Against Him’ – Chris Arreola Breaks Down a Potential Fight With Mike Tyson

Mexican-born Chris Arreola might not be the most alarming heavyweight in the current roster. However, he is clearly one of the most fearless and that said; he doesn’t mind having a scrap against former world champion Mike Tyson.
Although Tyson is 54 and far away from being an active boxer, his prowess and achievements can still initiate fear amongst his adversaries. But Arreola seems to acknowledge a fight with Tyson as a battle with himself. Prior to facing former champion Andy Ruiz Jr. on his return, Arreola has shed his opinion on a potential fight against Mike Tyson.
‘The Nightmare’ was undergoing a training session at his gym when EsNews connected with him and asked him about competing against ‘Iron’ Mike.

In response, Chris Arreola said, “See, I am not fighting him, I am fighting myself. You are fighting your own fears and insecurities against him. That’s the thing. I don’t care.”
There’s no denying that Chris Arreola made sense when he pictured a clash with Mike Tyson to be a fight with his own fears. Throughout his prime, Tyson has urged many people to beat their fear of facing him before actually stepping inside the ring.
However, 54-year-old Mike Tyson might not want to go against an active boxer, especially when he is trying to gain relevancy in the ongoing title ride.
Chris Arreola- The new wave in the heavyweight title
Boasting a record of 38-6-1, Arreola can enter the championship race by defeating Andy Ruiz Jr. in their upcoming face-off. The current heavyweight division is full of mandatory challengers. Meanwhile, Ruiz Jr. is just one win away from demanding a shot at his lost title.

So, Arreola can rightfully replace ‘The Destroyer’ if he gains the win. If he fails, Arreola will have to aim for more non-title contests before resurrecting his position amongst the elites. It might not be an undemanding task for him, but Arreola has all the chances of landing a stunner.
