Recent times have seen a myriad of athletes crossing over into the sport of boxing. The world of the NFL also had its due representation. Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Le’Veon Bell recently faced Adrian Peterson of the Seattle Seahawks in the boxing ring. However, it should be said that they had a hard time impressing unified welterweight champion, Errol Spence Jr.

Bell faced Peterson at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles on September 10, 2022. They were the major names performing at the bout titled ‘Social Gloves: No More Talk.’ And, Bell was the dominant fight throughout the fight.

The fight started slowly, with the first four rounds passing by in a rather unexciting manner. But, things picked up in the fifth and final round of the bout. Bell downed Peterson with a brutal right to the chin.

Peterson tried to get back up on his feet. However, he was off balance, which in turn led to the referee stopping the fight. Bell was then declared the winner by TKO. Moreover, in the post-fight interview, he even opened up about pursuing a career in boxing. Bell said, “I appreciate everybody’s love and support, for real. That’s really what kept me going. Honestly, all the hate … that motivates me.”

He even mentioned that his football career is behind him and that he wishes to put his focus on boxing.

Errol Spence Jr was unimpressed with Le’Veon Bell vs Adrian Peterson

While Le’Veon Bell and Adrian Peterson might have been able to impress a few fans with their performance. They had a hard time impressing professional boxers. And Errol Spence Jr. happened to be one of them. In fact, he expressed his displeasure over a series of tweets.

The first tweet showed a snippet from the fight between NBA player Nick Young and musical artist Minikon. Notably, the duo had fought at the same event. There is no denying that he seemed super unimpressed with the ‘headbutt’ that sent Young hurtling outside the ring.

However, he did not mince words while calling out the entire event. Spence even mentioned that people from other sports were incapable of fighting. He even went on to address the fight as ‘BS’.
