UFC lightweight contender Terrance McKinney did not have one of his better nights at UFC 283. The American Mixed Martial Artist was outclassed by UFC debutant Ismael Bonfim who took McKinney in the second round for the first time in his career. However, despite being the underdog coming into the fight, the Brazilian proved he was more than capable of inflicting damage on a skilled fighter.
Bonfim repeatedly sent McKinney’s mouthpiece flying before finishing things off with a brutal flying knee that left the latter unconscious. Moreover, this KO was one straight out of a video game and drew in some wild reactions from fans. This also included boxing legend Mike Tyson’s son Amir Tyson who also reacted to the flying knee KO.

Tyson took to his Instagram to show his excitement after witnessing the finish. He shared the picture of McKinney’s face first with Bonfim celebrating and added a bunch of fire emojis to show his approval.
This might have been a turning point for Bonfim who will look to take this momentum and continue his winning ways. McKinney on the other hand hoped to build his second octagon-winning streak following his loss to Drew Dober in March. However, this was certainly an unsuccessful attempt for McKinney who now has a 2-fight-losing streak and a 3-2 record.
Joe Rogan praises Ismael Bonfim following his win
UFC commentator Joe Rogan also had some high praise for the 27-year old fighter. The former fear factor host posted a video of the knockout also giving him the title of the most impressive performance.

“Perhaps the most impressive performance of the night. @ismael.marreta [Ismael Bonfim] made his UFC debut against an incredibly dangerous opponent in McKinney, and he looked like a world beater tonight. It’s so exciting to see this sport continue to grow and evolve to the point where debut fighters like Bonfim look like world class contenders,” he wrote.

It seems that even Rogan was impressed by Bonfim’s performance and has high hopes for the prospect. Bonfim was also given the $50,000 bonus for his performance, which looks like one of his many in the future.
