Holly Holm has freshly flirted with a potential return to boxing, joining tide with several MMA elites who have entered the boxing ring in recent years. However, ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ has prominent reasons to believe the same. A multi-division boxing champion, Holm ended her pugilistic stint in 2013 to take on the MMA world.

She became similarly successful over there, becoming a UFC bantamweight champion. That too by landing one of the biggest upsets of MMA history against Ronda Rousey in 2015. Holm currently holds a 14-5 professional MMA record, and a 33-2-3 pro-boxing record.

Having spent several years in the UFC, Holm expressed her interest in returning to the ring during a chat with FightHype. Not to forget, she has recently become a Hall of Famer in boxing.

Holly Holm said, “I miss boxing, it’s always going to be a part of my heart and so you never know. You know maybe I will go back and a lot of these people are going also. A lot of fighters are trying to go back and forth and nobody is doing it successfully.”

“Not a lot of people can do it succesfully but I can. I know I can, I know I can go back to boxing and still be a champion.”

Who Are Floyd Mayweather’s Personal Pilots?

The former UFC champion actually has a point. From Conor McGregor, Ben Askren, to Tyron Woodley, several UFC fighters have failed miserably inside the boxing ring. Although Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort could turn the tables, none of them are anywhere close to becoming world champions in the sport of boxing. Holly Holm’s return might change that too.

When can we expect Holly Holm in the ring again?

‘The Preacher’s Daughter’s last UFC appearance happened in 2020, where she earned wins against Raquel Pennington and Irene Aldana. She is currently the 7 ranked fighter on the UFC female P4P list. After remaining away for the entire 2021, we may see Holm take a break from MMA. Boxing paydays have clearly brightened the net worth of several MMA fighters.

Tyron Woodley is a prime example, who spun his biggest paydays, despite losing to a social media star turned boxer Jake Paul. Meanwhile, Holly Holm’s possible run for a world championship in boxing can definitely charm her bank account.
