After all the drama, Jake Paul again has a scheduled flight. Not Tommy Fury or Mike Tyson, but The Problem Child is now busy gearing up for Hasim Rahman Jr. for their upcoming August 6th event. Paul, lately, became the center of attention in combat sports when he called out UFC President Dana White, accusing the same of underpaying his fighters-cum-employees in the UFC.
However, now that Jake Paul is all set to stage a match on Showtime, a place that is reserved for elite fighters in the game, Dana White finds it absolutely “silly”.

When asked if White at all felt surprised, the following is what the UFC President said:
“That sounds like something the weasel would do. I mean, to be honest with you when you think about it, you got Tyson Fury. He can’t get out of the country over there, you know, whatever else is going on in boxing. What else do they have going on?”
Dana White’s response to Jake Paul being on Showtime hurls in other questions
White, who had just been informed that considering the pay-per-view buys the upcoming Paul event would not be a massive sellout, went on with his wit and fury. He asked what else was going on in boxing apart from drama concerning retired Tyson Fury’s life. At this stage of boxing, when another Jake Paul event is lined up for the fans, White finds it even sillier to talk about it at a UFC’s post-fight conference.

He said, “What else do they have? I don’t know why they would do that again. But yeah, it’s just I know you guys love to ask me this stupid sh*t. This is not what I do. It’s just it’s getting silly. It’s just silly for me to even fuc**** talk about this.”

So, according to White‘s words, the upcoming fight between Jake Paul and Hasim Rahman Jr. is both “stupid” and “silly”. And second, apart from Tyson Fury, boxing has nothing really going on. Therefore, we ask, does boxing survive only on the heavyweights? And recent lightweight bouts such as Davis vs. Rolly, Haney vs. Kambosos Jr., or Garcia vs. Fortuna contributed nothing to the sport’s exposure and prosperity?
