“That’s How You Ruin the UFC Dana [White]”: Combat World Goes Berserk as Logan Paul Teases ‘First’ UFC Fight

Logan Paul shared an Instagram reel on Monday, establishing ground-breaking relations with Dana White. Dana White came on Logan Paul’s podcast ‘ImPaulsive’ as a guest back in March 2022. In the podcast, both of them talked about Paul joining the UFC as a fighter. And White did not refuse at the time and devised a possibility that it may happen. Now on Monday, Logan Paul shared a 30-second reel on Monday stating that he’d be making some announcements regarding his deal with the UFC.

Logan Paul has been active in combat sports for a good amount of years now. His introduction to fighting was through boxing in a match against KSI, another internet sensation. The first match between the two was a draw and Paul lost the second bout via a split decision. 

Then he moved on to fight boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition match and no winner was announced. Now he’s an on-and-off fighter in WWE and recently had a match against Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Now, will he be trying his hand in the world of MMA too?

The deal between Dana White and Logan Paul

Logan Paul posted a reel on Instagram where his long-awaited wish of being a part of UFC is shown through random clips of his younger self talking about UFC. And there were also some other clips where big names in the game are talking about his skills and his capability of becoming a successful UFC fighter.

The video starts with Joe Rogan talking about Logan Paul, stating, “Logan Paul actually knows how to fight.” Then his younger self of 2018 and 2019 came up when he was talking about wanting to fight a UFC fighter. Then it cuts right to the part where Logan Paul talks to Dana White about joining UFC on his podcast.

Dana White then responded, “You have wrestling and boxing.” And when Logan Paul says that he could get it done, Dana then said, “I’m not saying no.” The reel ends with Logan Paul quoting, “I want Paddy Pimblett.”

The fans went wild after the reel was uploaded. It got a variety of reactions, some were excited about the announcement, some had already predicted, and there were even some comments which rebuked this decision of Logan Paul to join UFC.

Fans’ reactions to the announcement reel

The fans of Combat Sports had mixed reactions to this video. Some of the fans were opposed to Logan Paul’s statement of wanting to fight with Paddy Pimblett. The first kind of reaction was because of different weight classes. Others simply sided with Pamblett, and one of them wrote, “Sorry but Paddy will smoke Logan but props to him for stepping up.”

Another set of fans had predicted what the announcement was about, they claimed it to be a partnership between UFC and Prime, Logan Paul’s, and KSI’s energy drink brand. Recently, Prime has been making big moves. For instance, Logan Paul’s brand Prime hilariously trolled fellow competitor, Gatorade, on TikTok.

One fan even tried to prove it using his keen observation. They said, “It’s a prime announcement. Dana was drinking it at the presser, now they will be a hydration partner for the UFC or something.”

While other fans were just against the whole concept, some think it’s a degradation if Logan Paul joins UFC because according to fans, Paul is not fit to go against the UFC fighters. According to them, it’d just turn out to be a joke. One of them even went ahead and said, “That’s how you ruin the ufc Dana.”
