Michael Buffer, the man who’s best known for his phrase, ‘Let’s get ready to rumble!” It gained immense popularity among the combat sports fanbase all around the world. So, Michael Buffer is one of the best boxing announcers the world has or will ever get to see. Sugar Ray Leonard even complimented Buffer by saying that when he announces the fight, it makes the fighters engage with even more intensity. Recently, the legendary ring announcer talked publicly about his love for the sport of WWE.

And in that very tweet, Buffer also opened up about the case of Chris Benoit, and how sad the whole situation of the wrestler was. Benoit was one of the best wrestlers, but the news of his death hit like a train in June 2007.

Michael Buffer, in his recent tweet, revealed that he once again watched the event of WrestleMania XX. And he stated that the insane main event of the 20th WrestleMania astounded him.

The match was a three-way fight between the three illustrious names, Triple H, Chris Benoit, and Shawn Michaels. Buffer also further added in his tweet that he was entertained throughout its entirety. There wasn’t one moment throughout the event where he moved his eyes in another direction.

In the comments section of the same, one Twitter user, limitless_713, said that Chris Benoit was a legend. He wrote, “Chris Benoit legend“.

Michael Buffer responded to this comment, as he felt sadness in his heart at the memory of Benoit. He remarked that it was one of the most dreadful tragedies that ever took place regarding a WWE wrestler. He wrote, “One of the worst tragedies ever involving former wrestler…just horrible!

Well, Chris Benoit’s victory was one of the most memorable moments in the history of WrestleMania. But the WWE, as much as it deserved, does not acknowledge that moment, and it is reasonable because of the controversy behind the wrestler’s suicide and his criminal history.

In one of the most epic nights in the history of WrestleMania events, the three gladiators were set to go against each other in a three-way match. All three competitors were fighting to grab the World Heavyweight Championship belt. And amongst the three warriors, after a good amount of blood, sweat, and tears, Chris Benoit emerged victorious to secure the title.

Benoit celebrating his victory is one of the most iconic WWE photos of all time. The late wrestler climbed the stairs of success in the WWE after this fight. He became a lot of people’s favorite fighter in a brief time. It all started as his wrestling journey in WWE was pushed by another wrestling veteran, who introduced him to Vince McMahon.

But WWE does not want to stamp the picture as their legacy, due to the hideous crime committed by Benoit. The wrestling promotion disassociated itself from the wrestler as it does not present quite a positive image in front of the fans. Nevertheless, there are many fans who just want to remember him for his important contribution to the sport.
