He said, “Let’s say Ryan does win, of course, unification does make it a bigger fight but hopefully he really wants to come back around to the fight and not just saying it right now in the public,” talking of how Garcia vs. Devin Haney would be a unification bout that he will have to go to if he manages to win this one against Romero.
Herring concluded the thought by saying that no matter who he faces next, he will be happy if it eventually makes it way to Haney vs. Garcia. King Ry has been seen spending a lot of time with the undisputed champion, Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather motivated Garica to duck Devin Haney and go for Rolando Romero due ‘business side’ of things. Fans were disappointed on hearing that Garcia would not be taking on Haney. But, Mayweather assured that Garcia vs. Romero will be ‘action-packed‘.
Mayweather took to social media to write “Ryan Garica vs. Rolly Romero will be one of the most anticipated fights this year. I guarantee this will be action-packed. This one right here is bombs away,” hyping up the potential matchup. While Ryan Garcia, who is currently with Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions, is yet to be signed to Mayweather Promotions, it seems Money Mayweather is already doing his job of promoting his fights.
