While the narrative around the rise of the Warriors hints towards the three-point revolution, there is more to what meets the eye. Their first chip came after they appointed Steve Kerr as the head coach. However, there were a lot of other factors, such as their roster. Many role-players came together for the dubs. But only one man could stop them at the height of their powers. It was none other than LeBron James.
In a recent podcast, Steph’s teammate from that Warrior squad explains why he holds LeBron James in such high regard.

Andre Iguodala has a career laden with rings. He was among the best role players of his time. They brought the Swingman to the Warriors in 2013. In the discussion, Swingman credits Bron for revolutionizing NBA Offenses. “Bron does well shooters, or guys that dive into the basket… He doesn’t do well with mid-range guys, he’s either your stretch or you’re at the basket for a lot and when he played with Miami and they lost to Dallas they made like subtle tweaks it’s interesting,” the former NBA champ says.
He further added, “You start seeing certain tweaks where Chris Bosh would be at the five and they went it didn’t look small because LeBron’s got the ball he’s a big human being with the rock a lot so there’s like and if it’s a Heat basketball so they have a large presence to him but they tweaked it against San Antonio and they I think that’s when you started seeing like a smaller basketball nobody really talks about that. “
Iguodala points out the shift to “smaller basketball”, an offense-heavy game. He credits LeBron for being a precursor to the Steph Curry era.
