The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans in the semifinals of the In-Season tournament. The Purple and Gold asserted their dominance over the Pelicans, securing a commanding 133-89 victory. New Orleans’ fan base would, in particular, feel let down by their star player, Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram. Zion only recorded 13 points and 2 rebounds whereas Ingram recorded just 9 points and 3 rebounds.
Following New Orleans’ humiliating loss to the Lakers, reports have emerged about Zion’s unprofessional attitude. According to reports by Christian Clark, “The Pelicans have repeatedly stressed to Zion that he needs to improve his diet and conditioning.” Zion, however, reportedly “doesn’t listen”.

Recurring injuries have hampered his development as well as New Orleans’ hope of becoming a regular playoffs team. His huge frame has often been cited as a contributing factor to his injury woes. Zion Williamson is currently the second-heaviest player in the NBA, with him weighing around 284 pounds. Despite being five inches shorter than Nikola Jokic, Zion and Jokic have the same weight.
