LeBron James is known for always making the right plays. Although every move and pass he makes on the court is the absolute best, people still find ways to criticize the decisions he makes on the floor. And anytime one of his teammates does not rise to the challenge, it is always James who ends up getting the blame.
During a recent episode of a podcast, Richard Jefferson and JJ Redick gave their thoughts on this matter and also defended LeBron James against this unjust criticism by comparing him to NBA legends.

In a game against the Miami Heat, LeBron James passed the ball to Cam Reddish, who was open beyond the arc, for a shot to win the game with 5 seconds left on the clock. But Reddish missed the shot. This led to major criticism of James by fans and the media, implying that he does not have the same killer instinct as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
JJ Redick and Richard Jefferson, however, think otherwise and disagreed with the comments from the fans. They believe that LeBron James made the right play, just like he has been doing for the past 20 years. He made the best decision for his team, and the player on the court just missed an open shot.

Jefferson said on The Old Man and The Three podcast, “To my point, we are inundated with this conversation. None of us believe it’s a real conversation. We understand the way he plays. He has always been a combination of Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan, where he is going to dominate you from a scoring space but also he is going to get his entire team possible.“
James can score any time he wants, which is a trait similar to Michael Jordan. Apart from that, he can also give the best passes, like Magic Johnson. Thus, it is not his fault that sometimes his teammates miss the shots that they are supposed to make, but he always keeps instilling confidence in them, which eventually pays off in the long run.

The recent incident with Cam Reddish is a prime example of King James’ character. Although he missed the shot to win the game, LeBron still passed Reddish the ball a few days later in the clutch.
During their match against the Phoenix Suns, James passed the ball to Reddish, and he drilled a three, which helped the team win the match. LeBron James believes in his teammates, and by the time the playoffs are on us, this is sure to help the Lakers while contending for a championship.
