WWE got a taste of what a monumental return could do for them. The grand return of Dwayne Johnson sent the social media ringing, with records tumbling everywhere. But there might be one person who could match that pop and possibly outdo him. That is none other than the ever-controversial CM Punk. But that slim possibility shouldn’t be ruled out yet.
If the recent reports are to go by, there are strong chances for one of the biggest names in pro wrestling to come under WWE again, provided his deal pans out well with Triple H.

Though he is controversial, there is no denying the pull Punk commands, as he was arguably the biggest draw for the company. However, his infamous backstage brawl with Jack Perry, where he reportedly tried to choke him out, left Khan with no other alternative but to fire him.
With the ‘Straight Edge’ superstar being a free agent, there are some opportunities that could be explored. While Impact Wrestling, aka TNA, is a possibility, it’s nowhere remotely as big as getting back to WWE.
And luckily for fans, that could still be on the table. According to Xero News, there is a chance that WWE could be interested in bringing Punk back to WWE provided “they can hash out a deal”

While these reports are still in the initial stage, if it does transpire, it’ll do wonders for WWE. Not only would it be the biggest moment of the decade, but the matchups that Punk could have are limitless. However, it all depends on how things shape up between Triple H and the ‘Best in the World’, which is difficult keeping in mind their past.
Triple H and CM Punk’s poor relationship could pave problems for hashing out a deal
It’s no secret that the two entities just don’t like each other. Ever since Punk’s walkout in 2014, before the Raw after the Royal Rumble match, things have become even more sour.

For the Head of Creative, it was about Punk’s lack of communication and his silence that bugged him. For the 44-year-old, however, it was about not getting an opportunity to main-event WrestleMania despite being a workhorse for so long.
The former WWE star also expressed his displeasure at having to face Triple H at WM 30, which fueled Hunter further. But with the recent updates, there still might be a glimmer of hope to see the beloved star once again in WWE.
