The war between AEW and WWE is not limited to ratings. The competition between the two of these companies also arises in terms of ticket sales. Interestingly, both are set to organize their own PPVs within a week of each other. While the Survivor Series is set to take place on November 26, AEW’s Full Gear is coming this Saturday, November 18.

The biggest question on everybody’s mind now is: who has better ticket sales? Was it WWE or AEW that was able to excel in terms of ticket sales? Let’s take a look at the numbers.

WWE or AEW: Who sold more tickets recently?

It seems like WWE is yet again staying ahead of its rival promotion, AEW. Given AEW’s upcoming event and the entire match card, it looked like the company could convincingly sell a ton of tickets for the LA-based event. But they seem to be falling short of their motive, given that there is very little time left for them to catch up.

As per the Twitter handle of WrestleTix, Tony Khan’s promotion was able to distribute 10,461 tickets for the Full Gear event, whereas the same handle revealed that with a total capacity of 17,218, WWE was able to sell 16,315 tickets for the Survivor Series. This certainly reveals the success WWE’s PLE has gained even before taking place.

However, it seems that AEW has intentionally underutilized the capacity of the Kia Arena, where Full Gear is to take place. While the arena has a similar capacity to that of Allstate Arena, where the Survivor Series is taking place, only a portion of it is being used. While WWE is making use of 17,218 seats of the estimated capacity of 18,500, AEW is making use of only 11,787 seats of an estimated 17,505 seats. However, despite these differences, AEW is still behind on filling up the empty seats left for Full Gear.

Meanwhile, with the anticipation of Survivor Series, the fans are also invested in the matches that are yet to be locked for the event. However, the Stamford-based promotion has made three matches official so far.

Survivor Series is on the verge of raising the bar

Survivor Series Wargames is going to be a joyride for the fans. Moreover, the fans have kept the related kayfabes under intense scrutiny. Especially the ones involving Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, and Jey Uso against The Judgement Day. The twist in the plot came when Drew McIntyre turned heel and joined hands with Rhea Ripley and the heel faction, which turned him into the fifth member of the heel team for the upcoming WarGames.

With that being fixed, the fans are speculating the name of Randy Orton as a guy who can return to fill the position of the fifth member of the Baby Face team. Will he return or not? Only time will tell.

Other than that, two matches have been fixed for the event. One for the Intercontinental Championship title between Gunther and The Miz, and the other for the Women’s World Championship title between Rhea Ripley and Zoey Stark. Indeed, the event will showcase a plethora of captivating matches, and it will be interesting to see if WWE’s event defeats AEW’s event in the eventual ratings war. What do you think?
