Both the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions released their inactive lists and many circumstances, which are no less than a shocker for NFL enthusiasts. Before the matchup starts, let’s deep dive into their active list and see who is set to clinch the NFC championship amidst the holiday season.

Who will not play this season?

According to the recent list updated on both teams’ X accounts, 14 players are out of the match for the Week 17 clash this holiday season. For the Lions, there are seven players, including cornerback Steven Gilmore, wide receiver Antoine Green, QB Hendon Hooker, DL Brodric Martin, who is ruled out of the game as veteran rusher Bruce Irvin will play in his place, Julian Okwara, DL Levi Onwuzurike, and Brock Wright, who has been suffering from a hip injury during the Week 15 matchup.

On the opposite team, the inactive include Trey Lance (Emergency QB), cornerback Noah Igbinoghene, Rico Dowdle, cornerback Eric Scott, Asim Richards, Matt Waletzko, and Johnathan Hankins.
