Developers removed achievements from Silent Hill 2 Remake Steam page
Someone recently noticed that the Steam store page for the upcoming survival horror game remake was updated. The update came on the backend, but many fans really love digging through the codes, and that’s where they found these achievements. A total of nine achievements were found, and fans were glad to know that this game is not a bare-bones title remake. However, a recent development changed that.
Fans have started noticing that those achievements are now gone. And this has sent a wave of disappointment amongst the community that was eagerly awaiting more concrete information with regard to this upcoming game. But they got something that took them by surprise.
Konami had announced the Silent Hill 2 remake in 2022, alongside a bunch of other Silent Hill projects. Some were full-fledged games, while there was also a movie. Besides those numerous new game announcements, one that stood out the most was, of course, the Silent Hill 2 remake.

Bloober Team confirmed the game’s development earlier this year, stressing that it will take time before it’s ready for release. Their focus is on quality and ensuring a finished product. Bloober Team have made some good horror games previously, such as The Blair Witch Project and Layers of Fever.
Many are skeptical about the recent development, and it appears they will be until the game is actually launched, which will surely prove them wrong.

A big responsibility can be heavy.
Bloober Team might be full of skeptical developers, but all are excited to show what they are cooking. As all the fans know, the game is currently in development using the mighty Unreal Engine 5.
The developer has even assured fans of the original title that it will be a game very true to its heritage. In an interview with Dread XP, Anna Jasińska of Bloober Games said, “Longtime fans shouldn’t worry about us ‘missing the point’ while we’re livening up the title. We faithfully stick to the traditional story canon while remaking the gameplay and updating the graphics from the ground up. These are the reasons why Konami entrusted us with the remake in the first place.” This means that most of this upcoming game will be directly in tandem with the original title.
