While the series’ casting has impressed the community, America’s Next Top Model winner Adrianne Curry pointed out her doubts by posting a picture of Lynskey from an InStyle photoshoot. In a tweet, which presently remains deleted, Curry said, “Her body says life of luxury…not post-apocalyptic landlord. Where is Linda Hamilton when you need her?”

To this, Lynskey responded, “Firstly- this is a photo from my cover shoot for InStyle magazine, not a still from HBO’s The Last Of Us.” She continued by describing her role in TLOU and its relatability by saying, “And I’m playing a person who meticulously planned & executed an overthrow of FEDRA. I am supposed to be SMART, ma’am. I don’t need to be muscly. That’s what henchmen are for.”

At the time of writing, Curry’s Twitter account was deleted. As she deleted her tweet, a Twitter user asked about the reason for doing so. To this, she responded by saying, “i am sick of people like you bothering me over a NERD review of a NERD show that an actor took personally. she is NOT her character. she is a hired actor to portray a character.”
