When we talk about some of the great stealth games, the Hitman series has to feature in that conversation. No Hitman title has ever failed to impress the gaming community. If someone gets the credit for this amazing franchise, then it would be the developers: IO Interactive.

After capturing the hearts with the “World of Assassination,” the Hitman creators are embarking on a new adventure called “Project Fantasy”. The Danish video game makers provided a significant update regarding their plans for a new video game title, which will be nothing like the three Hitman games.

Hitman creators building a new world

IO Interactive has recently released a huge note on its official website, explaining their future venture. They claimed that their upcoming project will expand their creativity, capabilities, and in some sense their identity. They wrote, “We are building a new world, a new IP – an online fantasy RPG.”

The Danish video game developers also shared artwork, showcasing magical beings like an elf, a dwarf, and a wizard. Additionally, the setting in the artwork also looked medieval at the first glance. seeing the artwork, we can predict that this online RPG fantasy is going to differ completely from the Hitman world.

IO Interactive also shared that their fans are going to enjoy this upcoming game for a long time. The Danish developers talked about working on a fantasy game featuring Dragons besides a James Bond title back in 2021. Now with this note on their official site, they confirmed the project.

IO Interactive wants to expand the staff

The Hitman creators further explained how the range of roles in the Fighting Fantasy novels represented how they wanted to create this upcoming game. They stated, “For some, it meant taking the role of a game master: Part storyteller, part AI opponent, part guide, part villain. For everyone around that table, it meant creativity, imagination, building a world together, and a shared goal in creating a great game experience.”

But to make this new world possible, IO Interactive is also seeking to have many new and diverse groups of people on board. It seems this game is going to be their biggest project so far, even bigger than their successful Hitman franchise.
