Sky Sports reporter Martin Brundle has claimed nobody can touch Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. Admittedly, the two arch-rivals are in a league of their own.

While Red Bull fans expect Sergio Perez to also have a chance at the title, Brundle feels it’s simply not possible. Despite Perez’s notable performance in the 2021 season with Red Bull, they mostly applaud him for assisting Max.

Sergio Perez is not like Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton

The Mexican shifted to Red Bull in 2021, to race alongside Verstappen. Red Bull longed to find someone like Perez, who will play a secondary role for the team. Perez not only lived up to the standards, but he also managed P4 by the season’s end. However, the cherry on top of the cake was his brilliant defense against the legendary Lewis Hamilton, which resulted in Max catching up and snatching the title.

While Perez fans believe he should also be a title contender, Brundle claims he is not on the same level. The Briton said, ” I don’t think he’s on the same level as Lewis and Max. Nobody is at the moment,”

Martin feels that many drivers, though talented, are not possible challengers. He believes that one of them will have to show up big time to be counted in the same bracket as Hamilton and Max. On the question of whether Max and Lewis’s partners can catch up with them, he said, “If you look at Sergio’s score versus Max and Valtteri’s score versus Lewis over five seasons, that says it all, doesn’t it? These Boys are one step ahead.”

Martin also lent his views on George Russell, Hamilton’s new and much younger counterpart. He commented, “The real question is whether George (Russell; editor’s note) or others can get to this level.”

Brundle’s views are very honest and logical and seem to echo the majority of F1 fans’ thoughts. However, he is hopeful of drivers someday living up to similar expectations. Martin also backs the Ferrari duo and expects a big four or five fight.

Well, nobody relatively disagrees with the reporter. He is on point with his analysis of a future World Champ.
