The 2022 season has seen three incredible, nail-biting races. With new regulations introduced to bring the grid closer, the fans were excited to see the dawn of a new era. But before the season began, Netflix’s fourth season of Drive to Survive grabbed the headlines. The show is one of the important reasons for the newfound attraction to Formula 1.

Although there are plenty of positives because of the series, many drivers and team principals expressed their disappointment as well. The portrayal of unnecessary drama and non-existent rivalry between the drivers did not go down well with many in the paddock. In the fourth season of the show, there was tension between the McLaren duo, Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris. The Australian recently touched upon the relationship between the two.

Norris lapped the Australian in Monaco on his way to the podium. Meanwhile, Ricciardo struggled throughout the race and eventually finished 12th. The fans could see the young Brit saying he had no sympathy for Ricciardo in the show as tension was brewing between the two.

However, the 32-year-old revealed he has a good relationship with Norris. He added, “But in saying that, there wasn’t tension or anything, it was just that we were trying to figure each other out. Currently where I sit today, I think we have a very good relationship.”

Earlier, Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz also criticized the show for changing the narrative. As a result, the Dutchman did not take part in the fourth season of Drive to Survive.
