Daniel Ricciardo is certainly one of the most talented drivers on the current Formula One grid. The Australian has 7 wins under his belt and hopes that one day he can lift the world title.

However, when asked if he could start all over again, Ricciardo didn’t hesitate and stated he would choose something else over F1.

Now at McLaren, Ricciardo hopes to push through the rough patch he is going facing, as he hasn’t been able to crack the Top-5 in the previous races.

However, with the upcoming triple-header, the 31-year-old hopes to get in sync with the car and get some better results for the Woking-based outfit.

On an episode of the podcast, Pardon my Take, the Australian said, “One thing with our sport and, as much as I love it and obviously made career out of it.

“If I could do it all over again, I don’t know if I would pick this sport, because there are so many other variables and, so much out of your control. You know you could like perform perfectly and something might end up for you.

Is Ricciardo going to perform at Paul Ricard?

The Australian will be taking part in the seventh round of the championship at the Paul Ricard. Ricciardo will be hoping to perform as he takes to the grid on Sunday and aims to bring some much-needed points for the Woking-based squad.

In the first feel of the track with the McLaren car in FP1 on Friday, the Australian was the sixth fastest on the timesheet. While, in the second session of the day, Ricciardo fell down to fourteenth.

In the final session on Saturday, Ricciardo found himself back where he was in FP1, in tenth place. And, in the high-intense quali session, he got himself in the Q3 and will see the red lights from tenth on the grid.

Can the driver hailing from Perth improve on his form in his McLaren stint? We are just hours away from the French GP so we shall soon find out.
