Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton have had a tough start to their 2022 season. The 7-time world champion has achieved just one podium at the start of the season and is behind his new teammate in the championship.

But despite the tough start, the British driver is refusing to give in and is working very hard. He is digging deep within himself and working with the team to get back to winning ways with Mercedes.

Why Do Mercedes Dominate F1?

Both he and the team have seen amazing highs since the beginning of the Turbo-Hybrid era in 2014. But in a recent interview, Lewis mentioned the importance of failure and how one should pick themselves up from it.

“We have a responsibility to pick each other up and put it through those difficult times that we grow stronger and we grow closer and we pull tighter and we dig deeper than we ever thought … they say you’ve got to dig deep, but you can always dig deeper. You can always go that bit further,” said Lewis.

It looks like the German team is closer than ever before and is working hard to solve their issues as soon as possible. But in the year of the budget cap, they also need to strategize their development effectively.

The team has every ingredient needed to become successful and overcome their difficulties. Hopefully, the upgrades they bring can help them resolve their issue of porpoising and get more downforce in the W13.

They have a decent opportunity to close the gap on their rivals in Miami. Hopefully, having played golf with NFL Legend Tom Brady can inspire Lewis to find another gear in his performance. Let’s see if he and the team can up their game in Miami this weekend.
