It only took Oliver Bearman a couple of hours in a Formula 1 car to make the entire F1 fandom fall in love with the young Brit. His P7 performance during the Saudi Arabian GP race surely played a part. However, his cameo was enough to prove what he could bring to the table. Now many expect to see him on the grid in the next season, whereas some are already talking about his life post-F1. The Brit was asked about who he would like to drive alongside in one of the most prestigious endurance races in the world and he had two names in mind: Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, while giving his father a role as well.

24 Hours of Le Mans is a race that is on most drivers’ checklists. It’s a three-man job, so every driver dreams of racing in Le Mans with their fellow racers or friends or idols. So without a second thought, when Bearman was asked who he would want in his dream team to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Brit said, Hamilton and Leclerc and me.

“And if we don’t win, it’s my fault,” he added. However, the young Brit also had an honorary mention. He included his dad in the team and said, And my dad, the gentleman driver. “ For the unaware, the gentleman driver is an actual informal classification. The gentleman driver is the person who is the investor of the team. They purchase the car, prepare and maintain a team, and support it.

Seeing how Bearman’s father is the founder of a successful multimillion-dollar organization, he can surely take up the duties of the gentleman driver.

There you have it, the Bearman family’s dream team, with one of the biggest names in motorsport currently, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. We understand Leclerc because of the Ferrari connection, but why the inclination toward Hamilton? Well, that’s just the young man’s admiration toward the greatest driver their country, if not the sport, has ever produced. He proved it with his statement about Hamilton’s move to Ferrari.

The youngster is already part of the Italian team in the reserve driver capacity. However, he does plenty of simulator work and works with the team in close proximity. He’s expected to, now more than ever, continue his role as a reserve driver for Ferrari in 2025. If he doesn’t get a full-time drive in F1, Bearman then will be working with Lewis Hamilton and the youngster cannot wait for that day to come.

“Although I won’t be directly working with him (Lewis), I’m sure his knowledge and experience will rub off in all departments,” said Bearman. “I’m doing a lot of sim work with them. So hopefully, I can learn a thing or two from him and his wealth of experience. It’s an honor to even be associated with him in the same team. Hopefully, he can push everyone forward and bring great success.”
