That is what Carlos Sainz has been enjoying amidst his pre-season training. The Spaniard has been an avid golf enthusiast for some time. Sainz cheered on his countryman and PGA Victor Jon Rahm after he got his 2nd victory already in 2023.

Sainz took to Twitter to congratulate Rahm. The tweet read, “What a way to start the year! Congratulations @JonRahmpga on another well-earned victory. Can’t wait to see you compete in @TGL! 🙌🏼🙌🏼” Jon Rahm certainly put on a show at the American Express Championship in Coachella Valley.

Rahm beat PGA Tour rookie Davis Thompson with a four-round tally of 27-under. While this is the 9th career PGA Tour title for Jon Rahm, it is also his 4th victory in the last 5 starts he made. He started the year by winning the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

Rahm shared his views after his win in the California desert this Sunday. As per PGATour.com, he said, “[An obsessive work ethic] It translated to a trophy. I think today was about as comfortable as I’ve been in a long time on the golf course, tee to green.” Jon cited how he has been in a zone that helps to envision the shots he will hit.

Sainz surely would have loved to watch Jon Rahm being this consistent to start 2023. Carlos may have played some golf himself during the winter. Still, he has his sights on the upcoming F1 season. Nonetheless, the Ferrari driver will ensure to cherish his passion for golf whenever he gets time during this year.

While Jon Rahm is his countryman, Carlos Sainz has a sporting passion for golf that goes beyond supporting his fellow Spaniard. Like many others, Carlos also keeps the legend Tiger Woods as one of his sporting idols from golf.

The Ferrari star does not get phased or nervous about meeting any huge personalities. Though, as per Eurosport, he told the New York Times, that Tiger Woods might be the one, for whom he may get nervous. Sainz cited how met tennis legend Rafael Nadal, and former Ferrari champion Michael Schumacher. But Tiger may be one who may send shivers down Carlos when he meets him.
